Mail-In Sweeps Coins: Amounts by Casino and Is It Worth It

Written and fact-checked by ReloadRush editorial team Updated Facts checked How we make our guides 6 min read
Quick answer

A mail-in request pays 1 to 5 Sweeps Coins per valid card at the seventeen casinos whose own rules state an amount, and eight of them pay 5. A US stamp costs $0.82; four casinos mail to Canada, which needs a $1.75 stamp. Coins arrive in weeks and must be played through before you redeem.

Key facts

  • All seventeen casinos whose rules we read state a mail-in amount: 1 to 5 Sweeps Coins per valid request.
  • Fortune Coins, Sportzino, Yay Casino and Zula Casino take mail-in requests at a PO box in Thornhill, Ontario, so a US sender needs an international letter stamp ($1.75 from July 12, 2026).
  • A US First-Class letter stamp costs $0.82 from July 12, 2026 (USPS).
  • Reaching the cash minimum by mail alone takes from 10 requests (Fortune Coins) to 100 (RealPrize).

Every sweepstakes casino has to offer a free way in, and the route most rulebooks spell out is the mail-in request: you post a handwritten card and the casino credits free Sweeps Coins (SC). Players argue about how much it pays, and the numbers online contradict each other. So we read the rules. Below is what each casino's own rulebook says, what a request costs to send, and whether it adds up.

Read from each casino's own sweepstakes rules between October 2, 2026 and November 2, 2026; the date in each row links to the rules we read. "Requests to reach the cash minimum" divides the cash minimum by the amount per request and ignores wins and losses. Fortune Coins counts in FC at 100 FC to the dollar (a request credits 500 FC), so its row is shown in dollar terms. Global Poker's amount comes from its Sweeps Rules version 10.0, dated March 11, 2024, the newest copy we could open (the current rules page is blocked outside allowed states).

What a request costs you

The stamp is the main cost. From July 12, 2026 a US First-Class letter costs $0.82. Fortune Coins, Sportzino, Yay Casino and Zula Casino have you mail your request to a PO box at 10-8707 Dufferin Street in Thornhill, Ontario. From the US that's an international letter, which costs $1.75, more than double. A plain stamp on those envelopes risks the request coming back or getting lost.

Add a card and an envelope, and your time: logging in to get a code, writing the card by hand, addressing the envelope and posting it.

Is it worth it? The per-hour math

Mail-in math: what an hour of requests is worth on paper

Turn on JavaScript to use the calculator. The worked example below shows the same math by hand.

A worked example. Say a request takes you 10 minutes and the card and envelope cost $0.10. That's 6 requests an hour.

That looks good on paper, and it's why people do it. The catches are what the number leaves out:

  1. Face value isn't cash. Mail-in coins must be played through (usually once) before they can be redeemed, and play can raise or lower your balance.
  2. It's slow. The post takes days, and crediting can take weeks; RealPrize and LoneStar say up to 20 days.
  3. Minimums. By mail alone it takes 10 requests at Fortune Coins (cash minimum 50) and 100 at RealPrize (cash minimum 100).
  4. Limits. Some rules cap requests per period (MyPrize allows one per sweepstakes period, which is a calendar month), and the rules that address it allow one request per envelope.

How to send a request that counts

The details differ by casino, so follow its rules exactly. These points show up again and again in the rulebooks we read:

  1. Get a fresh code from your account. Most casinos generate a one-time code for each request, and some expire it: Chanced after 90 days, Lavish Luck after 30.
  2. Write it all by hand. The rules ask for handwritten requests. Legendz asks for blue ink, and illegible writing voids the entry.
  3. Use the size they ask for. Several want a 4x6 inch card or plain white paper inside a #10 envelope.
  4. Mail from your own state. The request must come from the state on your verified account.
  5. One request per envelope, with the exact statement and details the rules list (name, email, return address, code).
  6. Check the address and the stamp. Copy the address from the current rules, and use international postage for the Canadian address.

Where it fits with other free routes

Mail-in is one of several free ways to get SC, next to sign-up bonuses, daily logins and giveaways; How to Get Free Sweeps Coins Without Buying covers all of them. To compare minimums, playthrough and excluded states side by side, see Sweepstakes Casino Rules Compared. The coins only become cash after the minimum and the playthrough, which Gold Coins vs Sweeps Coins explains, and every casino above excludes some states, so check Where Are Sweepstakes Casinos Legal? before you start. Frequently asked questions

How many Sweeps Coins does Chumba give for a mail-in request?

5 Sweeps Coins per valid request, according to Chumba's own Sweeps Rules (read October 2, 2026). Requests go to a PO box in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, so a US stamp is enough.

Which casino gives the most Sweeps Coins by mail?

Among the casinos whose rules we read, Chanced, Chumba Casino, Fortune Coins, Global Poker, Punt, Sportzino, Yay Casino and Zula Casino give 5 Sweeps Coins per valid request. Amounts can change, so check the rules before you send.

Do I need an international stamp for a mail-in request?

Only when the address is outside the US. Fortune Coins, Sportzino, Yay Casino and Zula Casino use a PO box in Thornhill, Ontario, so a letter from the US needs international postage ($1.75 for a 1 oz letter from July 12, 2026). The other addresses we recorded are in the US.

How long do mail-in Sweeps Coins take to arrive?

Most rules don't give a time. RealPrize and LoneStar say crediting can take up to 20 days, and the post itself adds days. Plan in weeks, not days.

Can I put several requests in one envelope?

No. The rulebooks that address it allow one request per envelope, and most require a fresh code from your account for each one.

Is mail-in worth it?

On paper an hour of requests is worth more than the postage, but coins arrive weeks later, have to be played through before you can redeem, and reaching a cash minimum by mail alone takes 10 to 100 requests depending on the casino.
