Sweepstakes Redemption Pending or Denied? What to Check
A redemption usually stalls for one of five reasons: the identity check isn't finished, a document is missing, your account and payment details don't match, you hit a request limit, or the coins weren't redeemable yet. Check your email for a document request, compare your details, then contact support in writing from your account email.
You hit redeem, the balance drops, and then nothing. Or worse, an email saying the request was declined. Before you assume the worst, check the casino's rules: in the 17 rulebooks we read, most stuck redemptions trace back to a short list of causes, and most of them can be fixed.
Pending is not always a problem
Some casinos say up front that it can take a while. Lavish Luck and MyPrize warn that a redemption can take up to 30 days in some cases. Global Poker and Punt allow up to 10 business days for cash to reach your bank, and longer for payments above US$10,000. Six of the 17 rulebooks give no time at all, and Fortune Coins, Sportzino and Zula Casino only say "as soon as practicable."
So first, compare how long you've waited with what your casino states. The redemption table lists the stated time for each one.
Five reasons a redemption stalls or fails
1. The identity check isn't done
Every rulebook we read checks your identity or details before paying, and the payout waits until that's finished. The usual list is a government photo ID and proof of address. High 5 Casino, Lavish Luck and Modo Casino also mention a biometric facial scan and Social Security number validation, and Modo needs your Social Security number once your total redemptions pass US$600.
2. A document is missing or late
Some casinos put a clock on it. Fortune Coins, Sportzino and Yay Casino give you 30 days from the request to send what they ask for, such as photo ID, proof of residence and proof that you own the payment method. RealPrize can ask for an affidavit of eligibility, a publicity release and tax forms within 30 days. Miss the window and the request can fail, so check your inbox and spam folder for a document request.
3. Your details don't match
The name and details on your account have to match your ID, and at several casinos the payment method has to match too. Modo Casino and Spree want the name on the payment method to match the account. Modo only pays to a debit card that was used to buy on Modo, and it doesn't accept prepaid cards. High 5 Casino pays to Skrill only if you've bought with Skrill before. Chanced, Chumba Casino, Lavish Luck and Legendz send cash back to the account or wallet you bought Gold Coins with.
4. You hit a request limit
A second request can stall behind the first. RealPrize and LoneStar Casino allow one open request at a time. Lavish Luck and Modo Casino allow one request per day, High 5 Casino and Spree one per 48 hours, and Sportzino and Zula Casino may limit you to one per 24 hours. Daily caps apply too: up to US$10,000 a day at Chumba Casino, Global Poker, Legendz and LoneStar Casino, 3,000 SC at MyPrize and 9,550 SC at Zula Casino.
5. The coins weren't redeemable yet
Sweeps Coins have to be played through, usually once, before they count. Chanced and Punt ask for three plays by default, and Chumba Casino and Global Poker can ask for up to 20. Your redeemable balance also has to clear the minimum: 50 SC for cash at seven of the 17 casinos and 100 SC at the rest. And sweepstakes play only counts where it's allowed. Global Poker, for example, lists ten states where you can play with Gold Coins but not Sweeps Coins.
What to do, step by step
- Read the status and your email. A document request or a declined notice usually says what's missing.
- Check the five causes above against your casino's rules. Our rules comparison links to each rulebook.
- Send anything requested in one go, clear and complete, before any deadline.
- Don't stack requests where the rules allow only one at a time. Fortune Coins, Sportzino and Zula Casino handle requests in the order received, so cancelling and resubmitting can only move you back.
- Write to support from your account email. Include your username, your name as registered, what happened and the dates. Keep screenshots of the request and the balance.
How one casino handles complaints. Global Poker's Terms ask for exactly those details in writing. Its support team aims to respond within 10 calendar days, can take up to 20 if it tells you so within the first 10, and if you're still not satisfied you can ask for an outside review by eCOGRA, its service provider in Malta. Other casinos set their own process, so look for the complaints section in their terms.
What the rules don't say
- How long most casinos take to review documents once you've sent them.
- Whether the Sweeps Coins from a declined request go back to your balance. We didn't find it in the rules we read, so ask support.
- The internal reasons behind a manual review. Casinos keep the right to run extra checks without explaining them.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my sweepstakes casino redemption still pending?
Most often the identity check isn't finished or the casino is waiting on a document. Some casinos also give no processing time at all, so pending can simply mean it is in the queue. The rules we read range from most requests within 24 hours at Modo Casino to up to 30 days in some cases at Lavish Luck and MyPrize.
Why was my Sweeps Coin redemption denied?
The rules point to a handful of causes: coins that weren't played through, a balance under the minimum, details that don't match your account or payment method, documents not sent in time, or playing from a state where sweepstakes play isn't allowed.
How long do I have to send verification documents?
Fortune Coins, Sportzino and Yay Casino give you 30 days from the request. RealPrize can ask for an affidavit of eligibility and tax forms, also within 30 days.
Can I send a second redemption request while one is pending?
Often not. RealPrize allows one open request at a time, Lavish Luck and Modo Casino one request per day, High 5 Casino and Spree one per 48 hours, and Sportzino and Zula Casino may limit you to one per 24 hours.
How do I complain about a redemption?
Write to support from the email address on your account and include your username, your name as registered, what happened and the dates. Global Poker's Terms, for example, say its support team aims to reply to a complaint within 10 calendar days.
